The Biruni Institute offers on-demand, quick research activities and advisory services to various institutions in- and outside the country. By hosting resident economists and experts in Afghanistan’s development process, the Biruni Institute offers a rapid-response consult service for short desk-based research needs and urgent inquiries on economic, development and governance issues in Afghanistan, including impact assessment of development projects and programs.

Researchers and experts at the Biruni Institute have extensive experience in policy design, implementation and research, drawn from their years of professional engagement with international organizations and donor agencies, local and international NGOs, the Afghan government, academia, and the private sector in Afghanistan.

While experts in international organizations and donor agencies engaged in Afghanistan are deployed on temporary basis to Kabul, and therefore have a shorter time-span in their knowledge of policy development in the country, the Biruni Institute takes pride in its experts and researchers who have been directly engaged in the reconstruction process, policy reforms, and development agenda since 2001.

The Research & Advisory HelpDesk is already launched, and is actively being offered to the relevant audience.
